Description
Slackware Linux current, radeonhd video driver, AMD 690 (R600) integrated video, XFCE. When VB starts the original splash screen is light green. When guest starts, the console or Windows startup screen is transparent, as if compiz thinks it is inactive window, and some areas are not redrawn, like in Windows profile chooser white background does not disappear when another profile is selected. When GUI starts, the window is opaque, but graphics is distorted.
Absolutely nothing changed compared to 3.0.0.

Yes,
XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 VirtualBox
runs nicely. It also disables the 3D Acceleration checkbox and the 3D acceleration itself.

Could you perhaps also provide your VirtualBox log file and give us the exact command line that you use when you see the problem? Thanks.

I attach VBox.good.log.bz2 - VM started, addins updated, VM closed- and VBox.bad.log.bz2 - VM started and closed by ACPI shutdown after a failed attempt to close with the mouse.
Problem command
VirtualBox
It is usr/bin/VirtualBox - a link to /opt/VirtualBox/VBox.sh (as created by the installer).

Does doing
on the command line before starting VirtualBox help?
