Ticket #4205 (closed defect: obsolete)
Crash when CheckPoint SecureClient tries to connect
Reported by: | banditd | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | other | Version: | VirtualBox 2.2.4 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Windows |
Description (last modified by aeichner) (diff)
When I try to connect another machine the process executing the guest always crashes.
Sometimes Checkpoint opens a window where I should confirm the certificate so I guess the crash happens when data is exchanged with the remote machine.
Unfortunately I can't provide a minidump as none is created. I only get one if the host crashes not if a process crashes?

Does crash reproducible with bridged networking and on changing of guest adapter (e.g. E1k)? Is it possible to get your vm and instructions to reproduce the fault?

I've used NAT networking and switched to bridged networking now and the crash is gone, thanks a lot!
Providing the VM is a bit critical but I can reproduce the behaviour on every VM I've tested. The Checkpoint client can be downloaded from http://updates.checkpoint.com/fileserver/ID/8413/FILE/VPN-1_SecureClient_NGX_R60_HFA_02_Supplement_3_630002002.msi. If necessary I can provide the IP of a VPN server to connect to.

Could you please send connection information to vasily _dot_ levchenko _at_ Sun _dot_ COM? Was this crash introduced in 2.2.4 version or it repeatable with older versions?

I've sent a mail. Version 2.2.4 is the first version I tried, I never used VirtualBox before I am sorry.
