Connecting a USB device the guest becomes extremely slow with a Solaris host

I am running VB 2.2.2 on OpenSolaris, snv_111a. When I connect an iPod to a Windows guest it will work but the guest becomes extremely slow to the point it is unusable. A mouse click can take around 30 seconds to even register. The guest will recognize the iPod eventually. The CPU or load of the host does not seem to be a factor.

Once the iPod is recognized on the Guest, is it still slow?

comment:2 by Bill Rushmore, 15 years ago

Yes, it is still slow until the IPod is disconnected from the guest.
