virtualbox lock the windows host clipboard

Experienced on vbox 2.0 to 2.1.2: at one time, the shared clipboard stops to work. Even worse, the clipboard between native windows applications stops to work too, even inside one application. I have used one tool (don't remember the name though) that indicated that the clipboard was locked by a virtualbox.exe process. When I close virtualbox (by the way at this moment saving execution state do not work, see bug #3207), the clipboard works again in windows.

Please reopen if the problem persists with VirtualBox 2.2.2.

I'm running 2.2.4 and sometimes the clipboard doesn't work as it should. I never experienced (that I've noticed) the host clipboard failing between host applications what I experience is that the clipboard stops working when copy/paste from host to guest and guest to host.

I can't find a way to reproduce this, it just happens from time to time. Some other times, it just works...

I'm not reopening this cause I'm not sure if this is the most relevant ticket about this problem, I know there are quite a few about clipboard issues. You may want to reopen it yourself though...

Does this only occur with Linux guests, or have you seen it with Windows guests too?

For me, this happens in both linux/windows guests.

But like I said, I don't know if it's the same issue, all I can say is that the clipboard feature some times it works, some times it doesn't. I couldn't find a pattern to see when this starts to happen, it seems random...
