Rhino 3D application crashes when changing guest resolution
Reported by: | hi.sergio@gmail.com | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | 3D support | Version: | VirtualBox 2.1.2 |
Keywords: | 3D resolution crash | Cc: | |
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Linux |
Description (last modified by )
When changing the Guest OS resolution with Rhinoceros 3D 4.0 open, the application silently quits.
Changing resolution means changing by going to display properties or by resizing the guest OS VirtualBox window within the Host environment.
If 3D acceleration is disabled in the VM settings, the problem disappears.
Note: this app wouldn't even run with 3D acceleration before updating VirtualBox to 2.1.2 and respective Guest Additions.
Host Specs: Ubuntu 8.10 32bit, ATI fglrx drivers, P-M 1,73Ghz processor (no VM extensions), 2Gb RAM
Guest Specs: Windows XP SP3, 1Gb RAM assigned, 64Mb VRAM assigned
