#2158 new enhancement

MacOS: Expose support

Reported by: virtualbox Owned by:
Component: GUI Version: VirtualBox 2.0.0
Keywords: expose macos Cc:
Guest type: Windows Host type: Mac OS X

Description

Parallels and Vmware both support a feature called Expose with Windows guest systems.
When clicking the Expose key, MacOs shows all the open windows in a miniaturized form and the user is able to click the right window he wants to "flip to". Parallels and Vmware integrate Windows guest windows into expose, which is extremly usefull.

it would be very nice, if virtualbox would introduce this feature (in the coherence mode) in a later version, too.

Sorry - again - trac killed my links :)

Some info about expose, just in case you are not familiar with macos: http://arstechnica.com/journals/apple.ars/2007/08/02/new-parallels-desktop-beta-brings-expose-suport-to-coherence

Expose works on Mac OS X. Tried VBox 3.0.x but all guest windows are seen as one in Expose. I think it works as with Parallels Desktop 1.x. Expose works in v3.x, but not perfectly. In VMware each Windows guest's window is separate expose Window on Mac, but not so with older Parallels Desktop.

Can you look at VBox 3.x and say your opinion ?

Anyway this is not a bug, but a feature-request.
