Huge font size in VirtualBox GUI
Reported by: | daiplusplus | Owned by: | |

Description
Host: Windows 10 x64 Build 1607 ("Anniversary Update").
I installed VirtualBox without incident a few weeks ago and it worked fine (with multiple host system reboots, etc). I started VirtualBox today (5.1.18 from 2017-03-15 - so this was not after an upgrade) and the text in the UI is huge - though the application is still very readable.
I did an upgrade to 5.1.20 just now, and the issue persists.
Attached are some screenshots.
I do run a particular guest VM at 1024x768 with the window "Scale factor" set to 125% or 150% - and I note that a very similar issue described in #14151 seems related to the scale-factor setting: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/14151 - though I think he's talking about guest font size, not host font size.
I did

Do you also see huge fonts with 6.1? Can you provide screenshots?
The 5.x issue was that the Qt shipped with virtual box had widget scaling disabled, but the system still scaled the fonts, hence the fonts were disproportionately large. (Note that VirtualBox 5.x is no longer supported).
6.x still ships with relatively old Qt (5.6) that still has scaling issues. See e.g. #19663. Are you sure you are not seeing that kind of problems?
