Does this also happen when you have open windows in your WinXP guest?

Hi - I have upgraded to the latest build as well from 1.5.4 and having the same issue on Ubuntu 7.10 32bit. I use a Vista image but the behavior is the same as described above.

Hi - I am having a similar issue using Gutsy 32 bit host and Win2000 guest. I recently upgraded from 1.5.4 to 1.5.6. I have dual monitors on an ATI 9600 video card and could put the guest OS into seamless mode on either monitor with out any problems 'before' upgrading. As soon as I upgraded I can only run the seamless mode in the left (# 1) monitor and not in the right (# 2) monitor. When I shift to seamless mode all guest open programs disappear including the task bar. I can run it in full screen mode (cntl - f) and it works fine on either monitor. I have downgraded and have full seamless mode on either monitor again.

Hello, I seem to be having related problems with Seamless Mode. I recently upgraded from VBox 1.5.2 to 1.5.6; running on an EM64T-based (64-bit) Fedora 8 host with the most recent NVIDIA drivers (169.12, from the NVIDIA site). When I attempt to put a 32-bit Windows XP guest into Seamless mode, the guest appears to go into Full Screen mode instead, and neither of the Gnome Panels (top or bottom of the host screen) are visible until I subsequently exit Seamless mode. The guest has version 1.5.6 of the VBox Guest Additions installed, and I've attempted to completely uninstall and reinstall VBox to correct this problem without success. Seamless mode was working properly with release 1.5.2, so perhaps I'll downgrade to 1.5.4, as suggested by the previous poster.

BTW, as far as I'm concerned, Seamless mode makes VBox better than any other desktop virtualization solution on the market, so please keep up the great work!

I am still seeing the same problem here. Seamless Mode works fine, when I switch from normal mode into it. However when the machine starts and VirtualBox does the transition to Seamless Mode automatically, then all Windows windows disapear.

Somehow I arrived at making the Windows windows visible again, but I don't know how or if I can systematically reproduce it.

Host is: Ubuntu Lucid Lynx on an amd64 architecture machine Guest is: Win7 also 64bit
