libc-2.13.so is part of the lib32 library so maybe this isn't a virtualbox problem? unfortunately i am running a x86-64 system so I can't test it on a x86 sys

No, it is quite sure this is a VirtualBox problem because the libc function probably crashes as a result of invalid parameters. Can you provide a core dump? If so, please send me a private mail at frank _dot_ mehnert _at_ oracle _dot_ com.

unfortunately your mailserver gives me the following: Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; message size 16919712 exceeds size limit 14680064

of server acsinet11.oracle.com[141.146.126.233]

also I am unable to upload it here (file extends the 4MB limit) so I uploaded it to my server..i hope that's okay

-> http://pr-websolutions.com/tmp/core.21504.virtualbox-OSE.tar.gz

The bug appears both with OSE and with PUEL, I made the dump with OSE, if you want me to make it with PUEL just tell me

cheers

Yes, please send me a core dump for the package from the official website because I cannot work with core dumps for OSE binaries.

comment:8 by Frank Mehnert, 14 years ago

Thanks for the core dump. We believe we found the problem.

Could you check if this package fixes your issue?

comment:10 by machete, 14 years ago

Yes, it works! Only thing I could complain about is that the VM lags as soon as I enable the audio interface (hangs every 2 seconds for about 0.5 second). ps: I installed the drivers for the audio interface!

seems to be an issue with the driver, absolutely no lags after i removed it.
