Exporting VM takes very long, stuck on Creating Manifest

Description
Exporting a VM is stuck on "Creating manifest file '....'... (3/3)". The progress bar is at 90%. It has been at this stage for about 45 minutes. The time remaining changes between 19-21 minutes. The host is Windows Server 2008, and the guest is also Windows Server 2008. The CPU on the host is not being used. The export is being saved to the host hard drive. I am running VirtualBox 3.2.6. I have created exports of this same VM and VirtualBox version previously.

This is improved in 4.0 a lot. Also there you can disable the manifest file creation at all. Please update.
