#7895 new defect

multimon fullscreen mode is broken in 4.x

Description

Hello. Im using virtualbox 3.x without this problem at all. I have 2 monitors running in dualview mode (so i have two separated desktops). First desktop is primary.

Virtualbox Manager GUI running on first monitor and guest VM running on second monitor. now if i press <host>+F combination (goto fullscreen) my guest VM is switched to primary monitor! if i press <host>+F again, it will go away to second monitor.

I expect to see fullscreen mode on second monitor (that is working flawless in 3.x builds)

I've seen this behaviour in 3.2.12

Is this related to http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=37367?

in 3.2.12 (and other 3.x versions) i see VB *CAN* detect monitor automatically according to its window placement with running virtual machine. so seems it is UI design problem with new 4.x branch :(

using alt+f to force full screen and after that changing monitor in mini-toolbar is non user intuitive action....

Not to mention, on dual screen system when the second monitor is not plugged in, you can't *see* the non-intuitive mini-toolbar. Ever. (I run my laptop with a monitor plugged in most of the time, with guest VM full-screened on the external monitor. I can't work out what the major keystroke sequence needs to be - Ctrl-F un-full-screens, but does not then have the menu option to change which host screen to use!)

Please put the host screen selection on the non-fullscreened View menu. Better still, also let vboxmanage controlvm do something about it in case the monitor can't be seen at all.
