Description (last modified by )
Hi,
I have run in to trouble trying to capture network traffic using both tcpdump and wireshark on two Linux guests and the two most recent Virtual Box versions. The only traffic to appear in the output is ARP or DHCP broadcast traffic. I do not see any traffic like ICMP, DNS, or HTTP.
My current setup includes a Fedora 64-bit 14 host with Virtual Box 3.2.12 using Windows XP SP 2 and Backtrack 4 R2 guests in host-only mode.
The bug was also present in a previous setup I was using on a Slackware 64-bit 13.1 host with Virtual Box 3.2.10 using Windows XP SP2 and Backtrack 4 guests in host-only mode.
In both cases, the guests are talking to each other just fine and the packets are showing up in their instances of Wireshark.
