VirtualBox crash most times virtual machine with 3D Acceleration enabled

Description

On a Windows XP Pro host, I created a 64 bit virtual machine with 3D acceleration, and everything else except nested paging and PAE enabled. The system loaded fine and went through many restarts. After powering off the host, starting the virtual machine causes a crash of Virtual Box. I must re-boot the host system after this crash. Turning off 3D Acceleration allows the guest to boot. Then turning 3D Acceleration back on usually, but not always, works until the end of the day. Note, my guest has visual effects enabled.

Could you try 2 things:

  1. Update your host drivers. There's atleast 6.14.10.8673 and you're using 5885.
  2. Try with vbox 3.0.2.
