Description (last modified by )
I have two monitors connected to a single Nvidia card. I'm using Nvidia's binary driver and share the display using xinerama and not Twinview.
If the virtual machine is started on the second monitor, I get only 8-bit display. If started on the main window, I get it full color. I tested on WinXP and Win2k3

This is still valid. I changed my driver to nouveau. Now I have the monitors configured using randr 1.2 and not xinerama. However, the problem still persists.
After I logon, vbox/windows updates screen resolution and also change the color to the correct one.
I will attach just one xdpyinfo because they are almost the same
$ diff xdpyinfo.monitor1.txt xdpyinfo.monitor2.txt 20c20 < focus: window 0x4c00019, revert to PointerRoot ---
focus: window 0x4c00798, revert to PointerRoot
BTW, the screenshot attached should be written 8-bit and not 16-bit.

Still relevant? If this problem still happens with VirtualBox 2.2.4 or VirtualBox 3.0.4 then please execute xdpyinfo on both screens.
