Description
I have a VM installed with the operating system Ubuntu 20.04 LTS . Running the command docker pull from the docker registry of AWS the virtual machine dies

Please compare lines 11 and 52 of your log file, to see that you're trying to provide memory to the VM that you do not have available.

Right, it seems that after almost 6 minutes your system runs out of memory (so badly that even the logging is garbled). Do you have another VM running already which consumes a lot of memory?
Your system has 8G of RAM, and also keep in mind that running a VM with 4G of RAM configured needs around 4.4G in the end (rule of thumb). Virtualization isn't for free (there is an overhead everywhere, for CPU, memory, storage. The memory needs to be managed, and VirtualBox needs memory for a lot of other purposes, too.
