Description
i have a pre installed cadence ubuntu virtual machine which i am trying to rum but after i start the virtual machine and give the password for the login the os comes back to the login page i am using a ryzen 5 laptop is their some setting i should take care of which differnt from intel processors because my friends are using the same VM in their intal laptops and it is working for them.

In the login page, it there is a "cog" like symbol. Click on that and select "Gnome classic". Does that help?

Just google "Ubuntu login loop". I don't think this is a VirtualBox specific issue. I had it several times in Ubuntu installations (on the bare metal not as VMs).
