Description
All VM dock icons have switched from "Show Monitor Preview" to "Show Application Icon", so all you have is a generic icon, for all VMs. Furthermore, if you switch it back to "Show Application Icon", although it seems that this option is selected/checked the behavior remains the same; generic icon.
I don't believe a VBox.log will shed any more light, so to conserve space, I didn't attach one. If there is a need for it, please say so.
Host: MacBookPro 17", early 2011. OSX 10.9.5.

Revisiting open tickets. This can be closed as a PEBKAC. Reason being that I had enabled the following in the "VirtualBox.xml" as a global setting:
There is of course the philosophical question whether the VM settings should take precedence over the global settings, but I'll leave it up to you guys to keep it consistent with similar behavior for other settings.
My opinion is that the global should act as the default and if there is a manual override from the VM settings, that should be the applied one.
