#15428 closed defect (obsolete)

Base pointer isn't updated during function calling after enabling interrupts.

Description

This ticket is reporting the same problem as in 14032. During booting my operating system after interrupts had been enabled the base pointer wasn't updated during function calling. As a result the function returned to a wrong place. I'm ready to reproduce the fault with a debug version of VirtualBox made for this problem and collect any required information.

I don't think that we can do anything without example guest code.

Hi!

I'm affraid it's not possible to send the code to reproduce the bug, we only need help in debugging, what causes the problem. Could you submit a debug version of VirtualBox, where we could collect any required information?

Sorry, but building a debug version of VirtualBox shouldn't be that hard. And sorry, debugging issues with custom guests have a very low priority on our TODO list. Just check the amount of open issues in this bugtracker. Support for officially supported guests comes first.
