#14272 new defect

When VM run, Wacom_Tablet.exe consume much more memory

Description

I notice Wacom_Tablet.exe have strange memory consumption for a while. Now I'm sure Wacom_Tablet.exe memory increase continuously when VM run.

Wacom_Tablet.exe is system service named "TouchServiceWacom" (Wacom Professional Touch Service)
Since Wacom_Tablet.exe behave normally while VM turn OFF, I can not assume this case wacom can help.

Wacom Driver Version: 6.2.0w5
HOST is Windows 7 64bit
GUEST is Windows XP

According my post at forums, I described this behavior when I work with version 4.3.26.

After I upgrade to version 5.0.0 still got similar behavior.

This is still happening with VirtualBox version 5.0.20 r106931 and the latest Wacom consumer drivers (5.3.5-3), released 20 January 2014. Posts on the Wacom forum have gone unaswered by Wacom ( http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20807 ). With the consumer drivers, it's pen_tablet.exe which has continuous memory usage once a VirtualBox VM is started.

So your Wacom tablet driver runs on the host, correct?

I've installed 5.3.5-3 on a Windows 7 64 bit, without actually ever plugging in a tablet (I don't own one), I can't reproduce the issue. I start the VM, nothing happens. Tk #16753 is a duplicate of this bug report. snow said that he can reproduce the issue without the tablet, but can you reproduce the bug if you remove the wacom software completely and reinstalling it without ever connecting the tablet? Anyway, this is actually a bug of the Wacom software, it probably tries to access the hardened VirtualBox VM process.
