Can't change keyboard shortcuts

Description
I have this problem in my Virtualbox 4.3.12 r93733 on Windows7 64 bits.
I can't change the keyboard shortcuts from the VBox GUI. Trying to change them do nothing. The preferences are ignored.
1) Go to: File -> Preferences -> Input -> Virtual Machine 2) Change any shortcut 3) Click OK
After this, hothing happens. The shortcut still in its default and the new setting is ignored. You can return to the preferences dialog and see that the change you did wasn't saved.

The trick is to go to the next item using TAB before pressing OK. This usability problem was fixed in 4.3.14 and this report is a duplicate of several others, e.g. #12828.
