#12916 closed defect (fixed)

guest additions .iso not detaching from the guests

Description

I'm not sure how long this has been an issue but it certainly occurred in versions before 4.3.10. The problem is if you insert the guest additions .iso into a guest, then eject it from inside the guest although it looks like it's ejected, both from the guest and the devices menu, if you look at the VirtualBox GUI it is still attached to the guest under "Storage". The only way to unattach it seems to be in the GUI itself. I attached the guest log for Windows 7 but it does it with all guests. The way it used to work is when you ejected the .iso from inside the guest it actually did unattach. running OSX 10.9.2 now but it's done this on previous versions of both OSX and VirtualBox.

I just tried 4.3.10 on an iMac with 10.7.5 OSX on it. VB behaves differently. It does detach the guest additions .iso or whatever install .iso you may have attached but it doesn't actually show as empty until you click on "Storage" in the VB GUI. There are some other differences using VirtualBox on different versions of OSX.
