Description
I've been running W7 guest on Linux for a long time. The other day, something locked up on my Linux host which required a power cycle. VBox was running two W7 VMs. When I tried to return to these 2 VMs, they were both marked "inaccessible". the *.vbox[-prev] files were completely missing. Finally managed to recreate them and use the existing HD images. However, this has clobbered the Windows activation. Tried to recover by copying over backups of *.vbox; but this doesn't help.
Unable to find a solution for restoring the activation.
