With latest update Windows 7 guest cannot access WAN

Description

With the latest update to my Kubuntu VBox host R4.2.20 r90983 today the Windows 7 (64bit) guest has lost its WAN connection, although the local networking is still working. I have attached the log file.

Can you be a bit more specific? Your VM is configured to use NAT. What is local networking versus WAN in your definition? Are WAN targets computers other than your host? Does accessing computers work by IP?

Not sure I understand all the terms you use.

The Windows 7 can access the network server and Samba shares as before. Windows has now lost connection to the internet so Firefox, email etc no longer function.

If the Windows host has lost the connection then there is most likely some host driver problem. Could you try completely uninstalling VirtualBox, then reboot the host, then install the same version of VirtualBox? Does that solve your problem?

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
