Access Internal Drive

Description
When writing a lot of files to the internal drive I get a reproducible access error. The complete internal drive, which only holds some backup data, is bound to the virtual machine as a vmdk image. The vm is running Ubuntu 12.04, 64 Bit on a Windows 7 64 Bit. I use the newest Virtualbox/GuestAdditions. See http://superuser.com/questions/679100/virtualbox-access-internal-drive for more details. Also, a script is provided there, which can be used to reproduce the error. Besides, I noticed that after a restart of the virtual machine, the files I wrote to the internal disk are gone. But this is of no actual concern to me at the moment. I can read the files from the disk without problems. Even after the error occurs, I can still access all files outside the test directory, and even write new files except to the test directory.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
What kind of access error is this? Does your guest complain that it cannot find some files on the virtual hard disk or is this a permission problem?
