Access Internal Drive

When writing a lot of files to the internal drive I get a reproducible access error. The complete internal drive, which only holds some backup data, is bound to the virtual machine as a vmdk image. The vm is running Ubuntu 12.04, 64 Bit on a Windows 7 64 Bit. I use the newest Virtualbox/GuestAdditions. See ​http://superuser.com/questions/679100/virtualbox-access-internal-drive for more details. Also, a script is provided there, which can be used to reproduce the error. Besides, I noticed that after a restart of the virtual machine, the files I wrote to the internal disk are gone. But this is of no actual concern to me at the moment. I can read the files from the disk without problems. Even after the error occurs, I can still access all files outside the test directory, and even write new files except to the test directory.

What kind of access error is this? Does your guest complain that it cannot find some files on the virtual hard disk or is this a permission problem?
