160.8KiB of files are left behind after running the uninstall.sh provided by VirtualBox-4.1.18-78361-Linux_x86.run, specifically the following files:
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/vboxapi-1.0-py2.6.egg-info /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/vboxapi/__init__.pyc /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/vboxapi/VirtualBox_constants.pyc /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/vboxapi/__init__.py /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/vboxapi/VirtualBox_constants.py

Yes, the reason is that the Python distutils package does not provide an uninstall method.
