Description
I am unable to get GuestAdditions 4.1.8 to run properly on a Windows 7 64bit guest machine. The host machine is Ubuntu desktop 11.10 64bit.
The issue:
During the installation of GuestAdditions, in safe mode, I receive an error message ¨The setup deteced a corrupt/invalid DirectX installation.¨ I am then prompted to continue. The installation continues. Upon completion, and once the guest machine has been restarted, everything, as far as I can tell, works well, except the ability to adjust the window size to full screen. The screen size just stays small.

Please consult chapter 12.3.10 of the user manual. There was a bug in the older Guest Additions which lead to this error.
