Leaving seamless mode causes X to hang

This might be a "worksforme", but I'm trying to get seamless mode to work properly.
Entering seamless mode is no problem; everything works great. But when trying to leave seamless mode, the screen turns black. The only way to get back to a workable state, is to restart X.
Nothing interesting is shown in the logging.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.

Please still upload the log file. For a start I would then know whether X is on the host or the guest. If it is on the guest then check to see if VBoxClient --display and VBoxClient --seamless are still running (as your logged in user).
