No Standby of windows 7 hosts, when a usb device is conected to guest — at Version 3

Reported by: helmar74 Owned by:
Component: other Version: VirtualBox 4.1.6

Guest type: other Host type: other

Description (last modified by Frank Mehnert)

If a usb device is connected to an guest (Windows XP) on an Windows 7 host the host couldn't hibernate. Suspend to disk is not possible and also suspend to RAM works. This happens on Windows 7 32 and also 64 Bit . If the usb device is disconnected to the guest, hibernation works as designed. This issue occurs on virtual box 4.1.6 and also on 4.1.4. In version 4.0.10 this error didn't occur. In the versions between I don't know. Maybe this is an issue of version 4.1.x? Do you know how to fix it?

Hi Frank, sorry for opening a dupe ticket. I realized that this one was opened right after I posted mine.

No problem, thanks for the report :)

We were able to reproduce the problem on a Windows 7 host but a fix will take some time.
