Writing to shared folders through WinXP Pro Virtual Machine

Hi all,

I've recently installed VB onto my Linux Ubuntu 7.10 desktop...all is great with it, I have Windows XP SP2 running fine, and have also given it access to the shared folders on my secondary IDE hard drive.

Now, within the XP Virtual Machine, I can see and access all files within those shared folders, but I cannot write back to them...it tells me that either the disk is write-protected, or I do not have permissions to do so.

Everything on my linux desktop is fine, so I'm not sure it's a pure permission issue.

Please could you check VirtualBox 1.6.2? Please make sure to install the guest additions of this version as well.
