VB new version popup freezes VMs — at Initial Version

Description
Hi all, It is a very annoying bug I'm facing right now. I faced it before, and obviously it is not fixed nor raised, so now, I do.
Host: Windows 7 Pro 64
Pre-conditions: VB 4.0.6 runs 3 VMs at the same time, 2 Ubuntu servers, and 1 XP Pro 32.
Bug description: The VB new version popup raised (for the 4.0.8 annoucement) and this makes all interaction with the VM GUIs impossible. All VB windows (VMs and Manager) are freezed with the so famous "Not responding" message. Note the VMs themselves are quite resposive, my servers, for instance, are still working, but no way to act on the VMs windows.
