Guest installation should test and advice for gcc on Linux

There is a lovely test for kernel headers which will advice you to yum/apt/whatever your kernel headers if needed. This doesn't work completely as gcc is likely to be missing. The script will not test/advice for gcc.
Please add a test/advice in the installation scripts.
This is with Ubuntu 10.10 as host and RHEL6.0 as guest.
