Description
Apparently an account to this tracker does get deactivated after some time (so did martin_frb)
Your system will send a new password, if requested, but the account can still not be used with this new password. (login fails0
On the other hand, because the account still exists re-registration is made very inconvenient, since neither username, nor email can be used

Below is the text of the mail the system had send me, after I reset the password (except I XXX ed the password) I tried to login, using copy and paste of the password (separately pasting it into a local editor, to ensure I did not accidentally copy any spaces at either end)
I have just retied => and now it works. Maybe there is a delay from whence the mail was sent? Also, I now tried in a different browser, since I did not want to logout the new account, which I am now using... So it could also be a cookie issue

The account is not inactive. Either an account exists and is usable or not. That you cannot login must have some other reason. Did you really changed your password here or did you mix up www.virtualbox.org with forums.virtualbox.org?
