Description
I have an issue I can consistently re-create.
Launch a VM using the VirtualBox Admin Console. Close the admin console, re-open the admin console. Mem usage for the VM jumps exponentially and then stops at 4,282,548. I've noticed when this happens that a WerFault.exe process is running and sticks at 25% CPU usage.
The VM freezes and the VirutalBox.exe process must be killed. The VM is only set to use 1024MB of RAM. This happens with multiple guest VMs. Seems to happen regardless of guest configuration.
Running Windows Server 2008 64-Bit. No Hyper-V. AMD quad core processor. 8GB of RAM. Only noticed this after upgrading to version 4.0.0 from latest 3.x release
This looks like the same problem as in ticket 7966:
