Reported by: | Mario Goebbels | Owned by: | |

Component: | VMM | Version: | VirtualBox 4.0.0 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Windows | Host type: | Solaris |
Description
When trying to install the Photoshop CS5 trial version in a 64bit Windows 7 virtual machine, running Adobe's installer (not the initial 7zip unpacker bundled with the download), it progresses roughly to 75% and then the VM goes into guru meditation.
Host is Solaris Express 11 snv_151a, guest is Windows 7 64bit fresh install (not yet activated) without updates but guest additions installed. Machine is a Core 2 Quad 9450 with 8GB of ECC RAM.
The issue can be reproduced 100%, with PAE/NX on and off.
Logfile of a crash is attached to this report.
