Now VM crashes every time I take snapshot from running machine
But if I pause it before, and remove pause after that - everything goes ok

It seams to be caused by #7966 (after memory leak). Now that is fixed and ticket can be closed.

It just happened with 4.0.3 r69765. So there is something else causing it, not only #7966. Pausing VM before taking snapshot workarounds bug (even after #7966 caused leak).

I believe that I have encountered the same problem.

I have posted a complete VBox.log that demonstrates the same problem on PasteBin  http://pastebin.com/SBjA6pfr (the log file is too large for me to upload here.) N.B. This is a second log file - the log file that I quoted from above has already been overwritten.

In case it's relevant, here is cygwin's /proc/cpuinfo output from the host machine:

processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 30 model name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz stepping : 5 cpu MHz : 2926 cache size : 256 KB fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 11 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe pni dtes64 monitor ds_cpl vmx smx est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr pdcm sse4_1 sse4_2 popcnt lahf_lm TLB size : 0 4K pages clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 36 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management:

Don't worry - VirtualBox is not being run through Cygwin in any way.

This will be fixed in the upcoming maintenance release.
