Debian freezed while an example of SDL running — at Initial Version

Hi,
i test an example of SDL on Debian xx, the example built ok, but while it runs, the whole system freezed, except the mouse can move. the screenshot and the log of VBox and the source of my test are attached, please review them.
my host is windoze xp sp2 and guest is debian 5.0.
