Description

I'm using vbox 3.2.6 on MacOS 10.6.4, trying to attach an Android phone in "download" mode, and I get:

00:08:37.463 USB: Failed to open device 'p=0x6601;v=0x04e8;s=0x0000004883dc07fe;l=0x26200000', plug-in creation failed with irc=0xe00002be. 00:08:37.463 ERROR [COM]: aRC=NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) aIID={6375231a-c17c-464b-92cb-ae9e128d71c3} aComponent={Console} aText={Failed to create a proxy device for the USB device. (Error: VERR_OUT_OF_RESOURCES)} aWarning=false, preserve=false

I get this for all 3 of my VMs: Ubuntu, WinXP & Win7

It's the first time I've tried this particular device, although I have successfully attached other USB devices to VMs, of course. I tried rebooting the Mac.

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.3 and getting the same error while trying to do the same thing, attach an Android phone in download mode. I'm also using VirtualBox 3.2.6. My guest is WinXP.

Replying to rstorey:

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.3 and getting the same error while trying to do the same thing, attach an Android phone in download mode. I'm also using VirtualBox 3.2.6. My guest is WinXP.

Also here are my error message details:

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: Console Interface: IConsole {6375231a-c17c-464b-92cb-ae9e128d71c3}

Also I forgot to mention, I tried creating a specific USB filter for this device and I also tried creating an empty filter. That did not change the behavior.

This error is also occurring to me trying to attach a Bixolon SLP-T400 USB printer on OS X 10.7.3. Other USB devices work, such as the Cino bar code scanner.
