Please could you provide a core dump? If so, please contact me via private E-mail at frank _dot_ mehnert _at_ sun _dot_ com. I can tell you a server for uploading the core dump. I assume that the VM does not crash when you disable the 2D support.
Sorry, at present I haven’t got time to do that, but I can confirm that VM not crash when 2D support is disabled.

I am running 2.6.8. I have the same problem when I am trying to exit full screen or seamless mode. The crash is not consistent, but it happens very often.
To be sure: Does this only happen when you exit seamless/fullscreen or even when you enter this mode or when you resize the guest window?
And please check if 2d or 3d acceleration feature (from vm settings) is turned on or off?

There is another fix for such a crash in VBox 3.2.12 so you might want to give it a try.
I confirm this serious bug.
