Description
Hi,
Windows XP running as a guest on a Fedora 12 machine couldn't complete the normal boot sequence, crashes (blue screen of death) and causes VirtualBox to reboot. Booting Windows XP in safe mode solves the issue.
The Fedora 12 computer runs a kernel:
Linux whitebird 2.6.32.9-70.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Wed Mar 3 04:57:21 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386
My machine has a dual core Pentium U4100 CPU @ 1.3GHz and has 4Gb of RAM.
Attached is the VBox.log and a screen capture showing the faulty driver causing the BSoD. Looks like intelppm.sys is causing the trouble. I think that I have started having this new behavior since I upgraded to VirtualBox 3.1.4.
Regards, Ilyes Gouta.
