Not accessible video card in Starcraft II — at Version 5

When trying to run Starcraft II beta I get message saying:

"The videocard is not accessible because another 3D application has exclusive access or the machine was locked. [unimportant part of the message]"

3D support is enabled, guest additions are installed.

I am getting the same error message when running a Windows 7 Guest on an Ubuntu 10.04 Host.

Same problem with Windows XP host on Arch Linux host (up-to-date).

Has there been any update on this? Ubuntu 10.04 Vbox 3.2.6 Win 7 guest

Read carefully the VirtualBox documentation:

Direct 3D support in Windows guests. For this to work, the Guest Additions must be installed in Windows "safe mode". Press F8 when the Windows guest is booting and select "Safe mode", then install the Guest Additions. Otherwise Windows' file protection mechanism will interfere with the replacement DLLs installed by VirtualBox and keep restoring the original Windows system DLLs.
