Guru meditation after resuming a snapshort stored on another host

I stopped a Windows XP guest running on a Linux host by saving its state.

The I copied all files belonging to this guest to another Linux computer:
~/.VirtualBox/
disks/
machines/

After trying to resume the state on this second computer, an exception occurred immediately after the state has been restored.

Starting the guest without the stored state works fine on both hosts.

It is not guaranteed that this works. A more recent version of VirtualBox might improve the chance though.
