VirtualBox crashes with Slackware 13 (32bit) guest on WindowsXP SP3 host

Description
Slackware 32 bit (kernel 2.6.29.6-smp, X.org X Server 1.6.3) was installed in VirtualBox virtual machine on a Windows XP SP3 host.
User logged in and type at prompt $ startx
VM crashes with black blank screen. After reboot /var/log/Xorg.0.log is empty.

This is possible even if not explicitly mentioned. Perhaps a side effect of another fix. Just reopen this ticket if the bug still re-appears.
