Description (last modified by )
Virtualbox will not allow me to remove or add virtual hard disks after I moved one disk to a new location.
I created a Windows XPSP2 VM. The virtual hard disk was stored as D:\VMs\XPSP3.vdi. I later move the XPSP3.vdi to D:\VMs\XPSP3\XPSP3.vdi in Windows Explorer. Now, I have no option of changing the location inside of Virtualbox. I also am unable to delete the virtual hard disk, because of access denied:
Result Code: VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004) Component: VirtualBox Interface: IVirtualBox {3f4ab53a-199b-4526-a91a-93ff62e456b8} Callee: IHardDisk {62551115-83b8-4d20-925f-79e9d3c00f96}
Since I cannot delete the virtual hard disk, I also cannot add the hard disk from the new location, because of a duplicant UUID.

Tried loading the virtual machine from the vdi in it's original old location and it says it cannot boot the medium. I guess I've completely lost the VM.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
I tried moving the virtual disk back to its original location, but that did not solve the problem.
