VBox 3.0.0 not recognizing host CD/DVD drive on Mac Host

Description
Vbox GUI does not recognize or show host DVD drive when configuring a VM. Dropdown list for physical DVD drives is empty and it reports an invalid configuration. Checking "Enable Passthrough" changes nothing as the "OK" button remains grayed out. My Mac Pro contains three (3) physical hard drives (System, Documents, & Time Machine) + plus a DVD drive (IDE). The Vbox log file is attached.
