When switching from fullscreen windows disappear if smaller than windowed size

VirtualBox: 64-bit 2.2.4 Host: Windows 7 RC Guest: Ubuntu 9.04 fully patched
2.2.4 Guest Additions installed
With Compiz enabled, if I have windows that are larger than the screen size becomes when switching from full screen to windowed mode, those windows will disappear. The processes remain running and I'm able to get the windows back by disabling Compiz.
