Description (last modified by Frank Mehnert)

I was able to connect to the internet, then just a few days ago, for some reason, the internet quit working. I am able to connect to the internet fine on the Mac OS X host, just not on Virtual Box. I turned off the Windows firewall and I still cannot connect.

(Windows XP guest on a Mac OS X host)

Does it allow you to browse internet using IP addresses? or it's just block any connections?

Could you please do the following:

# VBoxManage modifyvm [your-vm] -nicktrace1 on -nictracefile1 nat.pcap
# VirtualBox -startvm [your-vm]

and attach result file to the ticket.

Hi, thank you for your response. I cannot connect to the internet using IP addresses either. It looks like it is blocking all internet connections. When I go to Start->Control Panel->Network Connections and then I click on "Local Area Connection" (which currently says Disabled, Firewalled) and then I right click and select "Enable" then there is a pop-up box that says "Enabling" but then a box comes down from the VB saying "A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped..." It's a long message. When you click "ok" the whole virtual box shuts down. I attached a picture and the command window file with the output from doing that.

By the way, it doesn't help if I disable the firewall... same thing and no internet connection.
