Moving VM window status bar to the top of the window would save space

Description
Is it possible/feasible to move the status bar icons from the bottom right of VM windows to the right side of the menu bar? That would save space, allowing a larger guest desktop size for a given VM window size.

In the meanwhile, there is a workaround exists - remove virtual machine window's decorations, when it is maximized. This requires compiz.
Run CompizConfig Settings Manager, go to Window Decoration, and enter
any & !(title=^windows & (state=maxvert | state=maxhorz) & class=VirtualBox)
in the input line "Decoration windows".
Here ^windows
means that the virtual machine is named "windows". If one's VM has another name, this name should be entered instead of windows

Please consider this change. Fullscreen doesn't work well on a two monitor windows host, but I would like to have an extra row. Alternatively, could the status bar and menu items be accessible from the side.
I second that.
This is really sometimes a bit annoying to have the status bar chewing up valuable screen space.
I usually start the machines headless and "rdesktop" to them because of that.
