#3674 closed defect (fixed)

Unable to "closemedium" a VDI after it has been set immutable

Reported by: Josh Wright Owned by:
Component: virtual disk Version: VirtualBox 2.2.0
Keywords: Cc: jshwright@…
Guest type: other Host type: Linux

Description

After setting a VDI to immutable, it is impossible to use VBoxManage closemedium to unregister the disk.

I haven't tried unregistering via the GUI, as I built VBox without Qt.

See the attached shell session for a duplication of the error, as well as the relevant XML files, as they were at the completion of the shell session.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Tested with VBox 3.2.8. Still not able to close the immutable disk, but the error message is now correct and you can now delete the child medium and then the immutable disk.
