Not able to create Host Interface

Hi
I am not able to create Host Interface for my Guest Os.
Error Message is: Failed to create the Host Interface Could not operate the communication channel (VERR_BROKEN_PIPE).
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: VirtualBox Interface: IVirtualBox {e1d95593-f579-4f47-b489-0b67181014e1}
My Host Os is : Windows XP Professional SP2 and My Guest os: Ubuntu Linux Second Guest Os: XP Prof SP2
I guess this bug is in 1.3.8 , not in earlier verions Can someone guide me how to get older build ie 1.3.6 , not able to find that link.
