Connection Timed Out error when trying to check for updates or register

When try to register or check for updates, the error Connection Timed Out appears. From the host system all connections are fine and internet can be accessed. However in the university we use a proxy server - could this be the problem? When I installed it on my laptop from home, (no proxy) there are no problems. Thanks

Yep, definitely. Proxy support is missing in our update manager.

This still appears to be an issue at 3.0.6.

Is it going to be addressed any time soon?

I am getting HTTP request failed in version 3.2.4. Any plans for this issue being fixed?
